Filter bots from Google Analytics

#AskCaolan – Episode 02 –  How do I filter bots and spammers from my Google Analytics?

This week’s question comes from Sarah Simpson, a jeweller in regional Victoria, who use Google Analytics to track her website traffic.

In this episode I discuss two ways you can easily filter referral spam from your Analytics.

Firstly I show you a hidden check box that can solve 90% of your referral spam.

Secondly I show you where you can filter out specific referrers from your Google Analytics, such as the dreaded semalt.com.

To share you comments and suggestions with Sarah head over to the Youtube video and pop your comments there, or just ask them below.

Do you have a question about email tracking, service providers or just making your digital life even easier? Head over to www.regionalbusinesstoolkit.com/ask-caolan/ and ask it there. That way your question may be answered by not only me but the entire Regional Business Toolkit community. How cool does that sound?
