Airtable

RBT-Resource-Airtable

I might be a bit of an Airtable fanboy… but for good reason.

I’ve used spreadsheets (Excel, GoogleSheets) for years to store and track all sorts of data. But then I discovered how flexible and easy it was to massage information with Airtable.

Airtable is part spreadsheet, part database and all online. And it makes the following things super simple:
– Multiple views of the same information. Let’s say you had a list of stock and often viewed it in alphabetical order OR grouped by supplier. Airtable allows you to save views/layouts for the one set of data.
– Simple (online) forms that add data to your spreadsheets. GoogleSheets has GoogleForms (which does a similar thing) but Airtable forms look great on mobile devices and are really easy to configure.
– Relational databasing that allow you to edit data in one sheet and have it updated in the other. Spreadsheets to this with VLOOKUPS, etc but they can feel complex to set up and they often only work one way (update in Sheet A and it pushes to Sheet B). Airtable makes this process quick, easy and painless.

Take a look at Airtable. If you’re trying to manage groups of data then it might just make your life even easier (it did for me 😉).
